ON-HAND ONE WEEK TRAINING PROGRAMME

This programme was started in 1998 and is intended to impart a short rapid capsule course to Residents and  surgeons who wish to get accustomed to the diverse activities of the Tissue Bank, Tissue harvesting & processing, Tissue donation and follow-up of patients with allografts. Any candidate can register in this programme which is open to all expecially Thai students from Bangkok and other provinces of Thailand. Candidates from outside Thailand are also welcome. For registration, please contact us via our email address as indicated at the end of this page. The curriculum for the course is as below:

Curriculum for 1 week on-hand training programme:

Monday:         Study, working & protocol of  Bone & Tissue Bank, study of Laboratory equipments and set-up.

Tuesday:        Theory and practical application of Bone & Tissue Allograft.

Wednesday:  Harvesting and procurement of Donor tissue (if available) and freeze drying of harvested tissue.

Thursday:      Deep Freeze processing technique and other laboratory processing study.

Friday:           Follow-up study of allograft implantation and Audio-Visual case study preview.

 

MASTER DEGREE IN BONE AND TISSUE BANKING

This is the course of dream for Tissue Bank Operators, or aspiring students who want to make a carrier in Tissue Banking. It is the first course of its kind in the world and offers an indepth study in the field of Tissue Banking. Master of Science Degree in Biomaterial in Association with the INTERNATIONAL ATOMIC ENERGY AGENCY (I.A.E.A) and MAHIDOL UNIVERSITY, THAILAND was started on the 31st March 1999. The first batch consists of 6 students from the South Asian Region. The second batch started with three students on the 1st April 2000. Registration for enrolment in the course of third batch for the session 2001 is open. Aspiring students are welcome to submit their application in writing to the following address:
